Sri Lanka will be the next host of South Asia Cup 2022

Published:

Sri Lanka is excited and prepared to host the next South Asia Cup 2022, Sri Lanka Cricket said earlier in a press conference. SLC initiated the talk of hosting it but on a condition of date adjustment. The sources further clarified that SLC wanted to hold a meeting and gathered all participating countries’ representatives on the table for the dates adjustment. The dates of the tournament have now been shifted from August 27 to August 24. Pakistan also endorsed the adjustment and added that PCB will have enough time to make arrangements for England Team Tour for seventh T20 internationals which is expected to be at the end of September. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had asked Sri Lanka for dates on several meetings, Sri Lanka though being in the economic crisis reluctant to give any certain signals. With the news dates the tournament will end on September 7. The countries included in South Asia Cup 2022 are India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
