Child Molesters will be treated with Severe Punishment

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly passed the amendment of a “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Child Protection and Welfare Act, 2022” in view of witnessing the rise in cases. The bill was presented by Law Minster Fazle Shakoor, arguing that there must be a severe punishment for child molesters and abusers to curb the inhumane unlawful act.

Death sentences or life imprisonment will be given to the child abusers while those who involve in committing the child pornography and child trafficking will be charged of 14-year imprisonment and fined of Rs 2million to 5 million. The one whose name will be raised in the child abuse related cases will not be employed or hired by any organization, he further added.

Child Protection Courts will actively resolve the cases without any delays and the 30 days deadline will be given to resolve and complete the case. DNA and video will be served as evidence.
