World Allergy Week Awareness Campaign Started with Focus on Asthma and Allergic Airway Disease

President of the World Allergy Organization (WAO), Professor Motohiro Ebisawa welcomes the world to celebrate World Allergy Week starting from 5 June to June 11’ 2022. Each Year, the week is celebrated to raise a campaign against the allergy related disease through providing flyers, free webinars, infographics, and short videos to spread awareness among the general public about the disease. This year WAO has decided to talk about asthma and airway allergies, their effects on life and necessary precautions. Allergy can be caused by rain to dust, anything that shortens your breath is a symptom of allergy. The week is celebrated to educate the public about the early diagnosis which make cure accessible and easy to manage. This year due to depressed economic conditions the campaign in Pakistan was only limited to digital media. However, last year the week was celebrated in Islamabad, Pakistan, had arranged training booths and camps and also spread the word through digital media.
