KPK presented Budget for FY 2022-23, Targeted Health Sector and Raised 16% Salaries of Government Employees

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has announced a budget for FY 2022-23 of Rs 1233 billion from which Rs 55 billion is allocated for health related programmes. Finance Minister of KPK, Taimur Jhagra presented the KPK budget. He announced 16% increase in salaries and 15% increase in the pensions of government employees along with an increase in the health and education budget to amount Rs 55 billion and Rs 47 billion respectively. The amount of Rs 418.2 billion has been allocated for the development programme. Rs 26, 258 million will be spent on agriculture, Rs 4191 allocated to Aukaf and religious affairs, for elementary and secondary education Rs 227,087 million allocated under the total budget of development programs which is total of Rs 383.5 billion which also includes the allowance for settled districts and merged tribal districts also.
