Pakistan is hopeful of exiting the FATF Grey List

Pakistan has been in the grey list of the Financial Action Task Force FATF since 2018 and today all eyes are on the FATF meeting for a decision regarding Pakistan. Hina Rabbani Khar, Pakistan’s foreign Minister is leading the Pakistan delegation at the FATF meeting. Pakistan needs assurance from Turkey, China and Malaysia to get off the grey list and all the countries have assured of full support. The meetings of the FATF plenary are arranged in Berlin and will conclude the decision by the issuance of a public statement tonight. Pakistan has been directed to fulfill 34 conditions according to the sources, from which Pakistan has fulfilled 32 directions and remaining two will be completed in this meeting today. Pakistan had to work on money laundering and terrorist funding for further positive development from which Pakistan has accomplished the targets. That is why Pakistan is hopeful to get out of the grey list.
